Did you know that Wonderland Costumes is located in beautiful Highfields, just to the north of Toowoomba city in Queensland? That's right, we are located right here on the amazing Darling Downs to help you out with adults & childrens costumes as well as all sorts of accessories, like wigs, special effects makeup, stockings and more. We ship Australia wide but we also have a special place in our hearts for all of the wonderful local customers.
We thought we'd pop below answers to some of the most asked questions we get here at Wonderland Costumes from our locals:
Do you have a physical retail store where we can come and browse your costumes?
We don't have a physical retail store. We know this makes you sad. It makes us sad too because we love talking to our fabulous customers & wish we could see you every day. On the bright side, we are able to keep our prices quite reasonable since we don't have the overheads of running a retail space. And you can shop 24/7 on our website.
Unlike many other online costume businesses, we measure all of the costumes & accessories that we sell so that you will know exactly the size you are ordering. And, if it doesn't quite suit your needs, we have a super generous returns policy.
Are the stock levels on your website always up to date? Can I rely on the website to tell me what you have in stock?
Yes and yes! Stock levels on our website are updated every minute to adjust for items that have sold and also new items that we have in stock.
Do you have products in stock that might not be up on your website?
Sometimes. We try and get our stock up as quickly as possible to the website but we always have new items that have come in that are waiting to go live. We also have replenishment stock coming in almost daily that may have arrived but not entered as yet. In addition, we also have access to many thousands of costumes & accessories that we don't keep in stock normally so please ask us if we don't have an item on the website you are chasing as we may be able to do a special order for you.
Do you keep all of your stock in Highfields?
The short answer is that the majority of our stock is held here in Highfields. There is a small selection of items though that we keep in our Melbourne warehouse & order up as needed. When you click on a product you are interested in on our website to open the product page, there is a line of text that indicates if the product can be collected in 1 business day or 3 business days. If the product can be collected in 1 business day, then we keep that item here in Highfields. If the product is indicated it can be collected in 3 business, this lets you know that we will order the item to come up from Melbourne via air freight. So, if you need to pick up your order the same or next day, you'll need to stick with the items we keep in stock here.
Can we pick up an online order locally or does the order have to be shipped?
Good news! We have two Click & Collect locations locally for you to pick up your online order for free. One is in Highfields and the other is a courier company that we partner with in Toowoomba, just near Grand Central. As you are going through the checkout on our website, you will be able to choose either Click & Collect - Highfields or Click & Collect - Toowoomba as your shipping option. It doesn't mean we will ship your order out but it gives us a heads up to get your order ready to be picked up.
If we place an order for Click & Collect in Highfields, how quickly can we pickup and what collection times are available?
We are super flexible with pickup times in Highfields. Provided we have staff on hand (which, honestly is almost all of the time), you can pickup your order on the same day. Collection times are by appointment but we will fit in with the day and time that suits you. This is 7 days a week, during the day, including after business hours. So, we try to work with what works for you.
If we place an order for Click & Collect in Toowoomba, how quickly can we pickup and what collection times are available?
Orders for pickup from our collection point in Toowoomba at 33 Dent Street, are available by 2pm the next business day after you order. Often we will get the orders in earlier but 2pm is the latest each day. Therefore, if you order on a Monday, your order is ready to be picked up on Tuesday. If you order on Friday or over the weekend, your orders if ready to be picked up on Monday. Collection times are during business hours, which is Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm and Saturday mornings. If you need to pickup outside of these hours, we recommend choosing the Highfields collection point.
How will I know when my Click & Collect order is ready for pickup?
As soon as we pick & pack your order for you, we send you an email and a text letting you know when your order can be collected and the address details. For Highfields orders, this is your chance to let us know when suits you to pickup.
What happens if I want to return a Click & Collect order?
Please contact us to let us know you'd like to return an item and we will let you know what you need to do. Essentially, you will be able to return the parcel to the same Click & Collection location that you picked up from.
